SP Hospital had a very humble beginning. What began as a clinic which tended to only out patients in 1989, has grown into this seventeen bedded multi specialty surgical hospital with a particular focus on Orthopedics, Trauma and Arthroplasty.
It has a patient friendly atmosphere, enhanced by a devoted team of consultants, medical officers, nurses and paramedical staff. It has a spacious, surgical operation theatre with state of the art instruments including electrically operated fracture table, Ilizarao and Orthofix external fixators, AO Instruments and implants, Spine Instrumentation system, arthroscopic instrumentation sets to cater to the needs of all the orthopedic and trauma cases.
The highlight of our theatre is the Laminar air flow facility with focus on reducing infection rate and high frequency C-Arm which augments orthopedic surgeries making the end results impressive and at the same time reducing the surgical time.
It also has facilities and instrumentation to do Arthroplasty Services (Joint Replacement Surgeries) like primary and revision surgeries in replacement of knee, hip and elbow. A fully qualified, experienced medical team including anesthesiologists ensures safe recovery and treatment of patients.
SP hospital has got seventeen beds inbuilt with centralized oxygen supply, phone connection, television and AC facilities. Intensive care unit is available for post operative period and also for patients with a need for intensive medical care round the clock. In addition to all these facilities, it also has a 24 hours Pharmacy, Laboratory and Digital X-ray unit to augment the medical facilities. Needless to say,being an Orthopedic Hospital, need of good full fledged physiotherapy unit is assured with various modalities of treatment like traction, wax therapy, IFT, TENS, Ultrasound and CPM machine. Hence we can say, all under one roof with reference to orthopaedic and trauma care.
Tie up arrangements made with leading Ambulance and blood bank services for immediate services and with leading diagnostic centers for advanced investigate modalities like Ultrasound, CT and MRI. It is also approved by majority of TPAs (Health insurance intermediaries) to treat mediclaim insurance card holders and to avail cashless treatment facilities. No need to say, our quality, service and administrative capabilities won the ISO 9001-2000 certification from the International standards Organization. Also the process of maintenance and up gradation of standardization made us to get ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 9001-2015 . Also we are in the process of NABH certification. The Government of Tamilnadu has accredited SP hospital for the TN government Employees and pensioners to avail the facilities to get treatment for specialized surgeries in the field of Orthopedics and other surgical specialities.
